Wednesday morning- arriving in Brussles

First off, I'm going to back up just a bit and post a few pictures of the flight screen I enjoyed tracking our progress on,  Our flight from Newark to Brussels was scheduled for 7 1/2 hours. We gained 6 hours, so we left at 6:30 in the evening and arrived about 7:45 in the morning. That made for a short night of sleep.  It seemed a short flight because of our meal, which was several courses & quite gourmet, and then by the time we slept, it was only about an hour before we landed in the morning.

I found watching our progress fascinating. Most of our flight was at night, and of course we couldn't see anything outdoors, and we were over the water anyway.

My view of the morning sunrise when I woke up!

It was foggy as we got in, so not a very clear view.

Our arrival at the airport went smoothly, We got thru customs without any problems, and our luggage which had been checked thru from our Chicago flight arrived without incident.  We didn't even have to wait long for it!

Ruth needed to spend some time figuring out the Uber system we planned to use. It's a really neat system, maybe could be described as a personal taxi system.  It's all done via web, and is a widespread system. I was quite impressed! Google it, and read how it's used!  https://www.uber.com/  Next post we'll tour Brussels!

And then your wonderfully, super great experience flying first class!! Was that any of Rob's doing? :-). You are just so lucky to know who you do and think it must've been an amazing time!! Now does Ruth fly back home after you're Brussels sight seeing is done or go on to Laura's with you? So fun to have them surprise you at your motel and Laura is looking so glowing!! Keep posting your fun to read accounts and the pictures, too!! Lotza love, Lorna
